SHOP GARDEN

I now have two salves available for purchase and I’m working on a third. Bear with me as I get inventory going! Every batch of my salve is made in my kitchen, using fresh plants from my garden. The products I offer have been personally tested and used on my own friends and family.
If you’ve followed my blog, you know I’m a fan of the critters and the bees, so I don’t use insecticide, weed killers or chemical fertilizers of any kind in my garden. Even for those %&*# Japanese beetles (they are hand picked off plants and drowned in a bottle). Every plant in the garden is 100% organically grown here in Mid-Missouri.

My first salve offering is made from Purple Dead Nettle, which is a great anti-fungal and all around good for wound healing, rashes and inflammation. I blended large batches of organically grown purple dead nettle with Shea butter, cold pressed almond oil, beeswax and orange oil to create a salve that is soothing relief for cuts, bruises, rashes, dry chapped skin or eczema. You can learn more about the plants used in my post on DEAD NETTLE SALVE.

I only have 10 jars available on Etsy right now, another batch won’t be available until next spring when the plants return, so if you have use of this, grab some now! Click the picture below to purchase from CORDES FARM’S ETSY SHOP.

The second is a Cucumber Plantain salve that should be great for burns, insect bites and stinging, itchy or cracked dry and painful skin. It contains a potent skin-calming combo of cucumber, plantain and calendula. It is available on Etsy here.

I’m also thinking of offering a natural insect repellent balm that may include my organically grown peppermint and lemon balm blended with essential oils to repel ticks, biting flies and mosquitoes. It’s going to smell MUCH better than typical store brand insect repellents too, earthy and fresh instead of chemicals or perfume. AND it will have the added benefit of moisturizing skin.

I’ll post updates as I get things finished and ready to ship. Follow me on Facebook for the latest Dirt news and product offerings.
